State Rep. Mike Harris, R-Waterford, issued the following statement congratulating President Donald J. Trump and Vice President JD Vance on their inauguration as president and vice president of the United States:

“President Trump and Vice President Vance have the support and prayers of millions of Americans behind them as their new administration begins. They have a lot of work to do to make our nation greater and more successful than ever.

“Our Constitution created a limited government, designed to protect liberty and promote opportunity for all. The American people elected President Trump to advance these foundational principles, lead the way to freedom and prosperity, and secure the American dream for future generations.
